HONDURAS: IMF worries

Mario Garza, the IMF representative in the country, called for the government to start on a steady process of increasing electricity and telephone charges in an effort to sort out the dire state of the public sector finances. Garza stressed that the IMF was not recommending an end to all subsidies, only to a better focus for them.
